2. What personal data do we collect and for what purpose?

At The Pilgrim Hub, we request only the information strictly necessary to manage your inquiries and bookings for the Camino de Santiago. The data we process includes:

  • Contact information: Name, surname, email address, and telephone number.

  • Logistics information: Planned Camino dates, number of people in your group, and selected service package.

  • Billing and payment information: Name/Company name, billing address, and basic bank details for receiving transfers and issuing legal invoices.


What do we use this data for?

  • To check availability at partner hostels and accommodations.

  • To contact you, answer your questions, and send you a personalized quote/itinerary.

  • To manage billing and ensure the proper provision of luggage transport services.

3. What is the legal basis for the treatment?

The legal basis for processing your data is the user's consent when filling out and submitting our application forms, as well as the execution of a contract or pre-contractual measures when you request a quote or contract one of our packages.

4. Who will we share your data with?

To provide you with the correct service, your strictly necessary data (such as your name and dates of stay) will be shared with:

  • The hostels and accommodations you select to reserve and confirm your places.

  • Local partner transport companies that physically transport your backpacks along the route.

  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

  • Payment platforms and banks: Payment data is communicated directly to the secure payment gateways responsible for processing the transaction. The Pilgrim Hub does not store or have access to your complete credit or debit card details. Data will also be shared with the corresponding banks for the management of payments and transfers.

5. How long will we keep your data?

Personal data will be kept for the time necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected and to determine any possible liabilities that may arise from said purpose and the processing of the data, complying with the legal obligations of invoicing.

6. What are your rights?

As a user, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grants you full control over your information. You can exercise your rights at any time:

  • Access: To know what data we hold about you.

  • Rectification: To modify incorrect or incomplete data.

  • Erasure ("right to be forgotten"): To request that we delete your data from our systems.

  • Objection and Restriction: To object to certain processing activities.

To exercise any of these rights, simply send us an email to santiagopilgrimhub@gmail.com attaching a copy of your identity document (DNI/NIE) and indicating "Data Protection" in the subject line. Furthermore, if you believe your rights have not been properly addressed, you have the right to file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
